news_jenveyJenvey Dynamics has announced the launch of a new direct-to-head individual throttle body (ITB) for the 2.5-litre Ford Duratec engine. The innovative new set-up has been engineered so that the injectors are seated beneath the throttle body, negating the need for an overhead fuel rail: ideal for use in restricted engine bays or where low level bonnets can cause packaging problems.

“We are proud of our track record for carefully considered innovation, and have identified a need for a modular, high-quality direct-to-head ITB kit for the 2.5-litre Ford Duratec engine,” said Jenvey Dynamics Ltd. managing director, Mike Jenvey.

“The direct-to-head Duratec throttle body, which as part of a finely honed package provides improved throttle response, power and reliability, is the latest new product to have gone through our rigorous in-house design, validation, testing and production procedure. It is just one in a series of exciting announcements that we have planned in the coming months.

The new direct-to-head 50mm throttle body includes an interconnecting linkage, throttle cable bracket and a large bore steel -6 fuel rail, with fittings for either Bosch or Pico injectors. Airhorns and additional underslung linkage kit can be specified to suit installation. As with all Jenvey ITB kits, the bodies are developed with the knowledge of over 25 years of industry experience, and crafted using aircraft grade aluminium to provide weight and durability benefits against alternative induction systems.

The announcement is the latest in a series of new product launches, and builds on the success of Jenvey Dynamics’ new motorsport-derived electronic throttle actuator, which is compatible with a range of aftermarket ITB kits for road or race applications. The DBFD2/50 direct-to-head Ford Duratec throttle body costs £777.60 inc VAT and is on sale now.
