Caterham’s flagship domestic motor racing series – the Bookatrack.com Superlight R300 Championship – will enjoy live television coverage this season.

Motors TV will feature live championship races at Silverstone and Brands Hatch in May and August respectively, in addition to its regular highlights package after each round. Highlights will also be shown once again on Channel 4 after each race.

The live races at two of the UK’s most prestigious and historic circuits will coincide with the R300 series’ guest slot on the Avon Tyres British GT Championship package. Motors TV reaches some 31.5 million homes across 42 countries, including the USA.

Caterham’s Chief Motorsport and Technical Officer, Simon Lambert, said: “we are very excited to have some live TV coverage this year. The R300 Championship is at the top of our domestic motorsport ladder so it is a great opportunity both for our drivers and for viewers to see one of the most hotly-contested one-make championships in Europe.”

Caterham Motorsport runs a ladder of five race series in the UK; the entry-level Academy is for novices only and has created almost 1000 brand new racing drivers since its inception in 1995. The Roadsport, Tracksport and Supersport championships are the next rungs on the ‘ladder’, with the Superlight R300 series the pinnacle of Caterham’s domestic programme.

Motors TV is available to watch on Freeview Channel 71 and 240, TalkTalk, YouView, Sky 447 and Virgin Media 545 (M+ package).
