Caterham Cars' showroom in their hometown closes soon

After the recent announcement that Caterham Cars’s showroom in Caterham Valley had been sold by founder, Graham Nearn’s son, Simon, to Churchill Retirement Homes for re-development the company have revealed that their new ‘temporary’ sales outlet will be at: Unit 11, Denvale Trade Park, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1SS…which is about five minutes from J10 of the M23 motorway.

They'll be moving to this site in Crawley, West Sussex

The existing showroom, will close on Saturday, February 23, although they’ll be holding an event this coming Sunday (Feb 17) at their Station Avenue site, described as a ‘garage sale’ (9am-noon) although it’ll definitely be a good opportunity to say goodbye to the old place.

Caterham Cars will be holding an event at their showroom this Sunday (February 17 - 9am-noon).

As a local resident, that part of the valley will never be the same again although I said that when they moved production to Dartford from their original Town End, Caterham-on-the-Hill site. Blimey, I can still visualise the late Graham Nearn pushing his demonstrators out into the sunlight on what was a tiny space…those were the days.
