Another big presence at Detling last weekend came from Great British Sportscars, who like Team MEV their fellow Nottinghamshire manufacturer, put on a very big display at the Kent show.
On their stand taking pride of place was the Zero and its Chubster brother, a wide-bodied version officially known as Zero GT in addition to a whole showroom’s worth of parts from their Kit Spares division such as new Ford Zetec Blacktops at just £750 and other such bargains. Much of the Kit Spares stuff is suitable for universal applications, while they also act as distributors for Gulf Oil and Kleers car care brand.
The company is also now making more and more componentry in-house including a few parts I can’t mention just yet, but all exciting stuff. They have just announced a bellhousing conversion mating a Renault engine to a Ford Type 9 and also a clutch release bearing.

Moving back to the Zero, kit packages start at just £2345 inc VAT or £2845 inc VAT for the wider Zero GT version. Sounds like good value to me…
